About Us

Who We Are

  • Grace & Truth Ministries – NYC (“GTMNYC“) is the English Adult Ministry (“EM“) & the English Youth Ministry (“YM“) of First Korean Church of Brooklyn (“FKCB“), which was planted in 1976 in Brooklyn, NYC.
  • GTMNYC is under the ecclesiastical leadership of senior pastor Joshua Lee & the elders of FKCB.
  • FKCB is part of the Korean-American Presbyterian Church (“KAPC”), a US-based denomination (founded in 1978 with ~80,000 members across ~650 local congregations) that firmly holds to the conservative & orthodox Presbyterianism rooted in Calvinism.
  • We are Protestant-Reformed-Evangelical ministries of Christ serving the Gravesend neighborhood in Brooklyn, NYC.

    • Special Discussion: Our GTMNYC Church Order concerning cultural celebration of Halloween season – By recognizing the Westminster standards of good works are only such God has commanded in His holy word (WCF.16.1), and not of human traditions or personal preferences, any secular-cultural community events, which are inconsistent with the biblical principles, i.e., celebration of Halloween season, are not to be observed, citing concerns over, in the case of Halloween, glorification of death, horror or other demonic images, in which Romans 12:2 also warns, “Do not be conformed to this world.”; however, each GTMNYC member to discern what is pleasing the Lord Jesus Christ on such matter (Ephesians 5:10).
